Learning vocabulary is an essential part in language learning. As reported in the literature on EFL teaching and learning, there are many ways to teach and learn vocabulary. This thesis aims to report on a study trying to find out the effect of the application of Multiple Intelligences on high school students' vocabulary acquisition. In other words, the purpose of the study is to see to what extent Multiple Intelligences helped the students retain words in comparison with using traditional vocabulary-teaching methods. The study utilizes Mixed Methods design including two stages: quantitative and qualitative. The participants of the study include 30 students from 2 different classes at Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary school. The findings show that using Multiple Intelligences to teach English vocabulary to high school students has positive effects on vocabulary learning and retention. Students learn new words easily and can remember the words longer thanks to Multiple Intelligences.
