dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of Vietnamese English Teachers toward English as an International Language (EIL) and its impact on their teaching. The study was started from the belief that English should be taught in another way that should include the varieties of different countries, rather than just those who come from the inner circle. This research aimed to discover the perception of 4 teachers who come from the University of Transport toward EIL and how they applied it during their teaching practice. The study was conducted based on the qualitative method and used convenience sampling to gather data. The result showed that Vietnamese English teachers have an unclear understanding of EIL even though they have awareness of this term. Finally, there were also some recommendations for future research. | |
