Abstract

This book is a comprehensive textbook designed to meet the needs of students of under graduate hotel management programmes. The book covers the fundamentals of computers and their applications in the hotel industry and uses numerous examples, exhibits, flowcharts, cases, and illustrations to explain them. The book is divided into two parts. The first part on Computer Fundamentals introduces the reader to the basics of computers. Further it elaborates on various operating systems, MS Office, the internet, and database management systems (DBMS).
